I love photography. I was liked it a bit in highschool, started stalking it a bit more in college, really starting to fall for it in my later years of college and after.
Now I’m head over hills for this art form.
I always feel like there is so much to learn. I’m a bit of a perfectionist (ask anyone who knows me well) when it comes to my art..sports..grades..well, anything really.
I’m the hardest on myself, and have a hard time not comparing things I produce to what others are doing.
It’s a weight I carry too heavily instead of allowing myself to grow in my art naturally, I judge myself against the best of the best. People who have been doing this for YEARS and Decades.
I’m learning to give myself grace in this. And appreciate where I am NOW, and see where God has sharpened this craft from where I came from.
I love where God is taking my gift for photography. I pray he continues to grow it and use me to capture the beauty He has created in His children.
And as I fall more in love with photography, I fall more in love with the people I work with. I see their beauty, and not their flaws. To me, their flaws and imperfections are what makes them beautiful.
