Lately, I've been trying to re-think my daily routine to maximize my energy throughout the day. So I had this brilliant idea that I would start showering at night (morning showers are hard for me) and curling my hair in rollers at night. Then I'd wake up and look so put together and I wouldn't have to do anything in the morning to get to looking so awesome.
The first night I tried it I went to bed with visions of waking up with hair looking a lot like Taylor Swift. You know, those long ringlets that are perfectly loose and perfectly gorgeous all at the same time? So I called my sister in law (who is a professional hair stylist) to get the scoop on how to put my rollers in the night before to achieve that look. I was so meticulous about putting those things in, and as I was doing it visions of grandeur were dancing through my head. I knew my life would never be the same now that I was switching over to this new routine (not to mention David LOVED going to sleep next to someone who looked a lot like the white version of Aunt Jemima.)
The next morning I crawled out of bed and anxiously undid my curlers one by one. I turned around to look in the mirror (obviously ready for my breath to be taken away by my hair's beauty) to be struck by an image of a modern day Medusa (not sure if that's now you spell it). The curls were crazy, my hair looked greasy and had all kinds of kinks in it, and my bangs were sticking straight up. Back to square one.
Which is why you see my hair in a tight pony tail in these photos, along with kinks everywhere. I was too tired to wash it again, and was secretly hoping that somehow some miracle would happen and I'd take my pony out and look just like Taylor Swift.
Obviously, the miracle never happened.
Taylor, how do you do it?
Have any of you guys tried to do the overnight drying thing with success? I need your tricks!
