One of the most beautiful gifts my mom gives me is her gift of prayer.
Since my High School years, my mom has been keeping a prayer journal for each of her kids.
First, they started with memo spiral pads, and now each year for Christmas my dad gives her new journals with our photos inside them.
Each morning my mom heads out to the back porch, or the kitchen table with her Bible, usually a Beth Moore study, and her prayer journals- one for me, one for my sister, one for my dad and one for my husband.
She writes short one or two lined prayers for each of us each day.
Most days, I am unaware of her continual prayers for me until she gives me the gift of a filled journal with prayers and petitions on my behalf.
It is so beautiful to see the way she loves her children, and the way she prays for us continually.
If you want to start these journals for your sweet kids, it is never too late.
All you need is a journal, a pen, and a ready heart.
It will be one of the most precious gifts you could give your child.
