A Book To Remember from Artifact Uprising

As soon as Artifact Uprising launched, I knew I needed their albums in my home. I also knew that I wanted to work with them to give beautiful albums to my clients.

I just want to take a moment to give them a little shout out. I had a HARD time loading everything and making my book. Errors kept occurring in their system, and when I got my book a few of the pages hadn't been printed out. And through the WHOLE process they were AMAZING to work with.. and I spoke with real people who spoke real english!! They walked me through different problem solving strategies to correct the errors, and when the book came back with missing pages they were more than happy to print another one for me and refund our money. Take note, these problems hadn't occurred before.. i was the only one who encountered them. I HIGHLY recommend them to the amateur photographer or professional. The books are so much more beautiful than we could have imagined!!

My first project was to make a memory book for my sweet husband. Bless his heart, he is as sharp as a tack.. but when it comes to remembering things his brain works like an 80 year old man.

So, I set out to create a 2012 memoir book for him. Photos piled together to tell the story of things that happened in the past year. I hope to be able to do this for him as each year passes.

Honestly, this book was so hard for me to put together because I didn't want to relive some things that happened in 2012.. and as I looked back through the photos ( I store each month in it's own album on my hard drive) I could notice some months that only had a few photos. Those were the hard months.. the months where sickness set in, or heartache knocked at the door. But I put those in the book too.. so that he could remember and that I could remember.

When David opened the book on Christmas, he was flipping through it and kept saying, "when did this happen?" and "we did this?!". So, it was a success. He loved it, and it reminded him of fun things we did together in 2012. It was like reliving our adventures all over again!

I want to share some of our favorite memories with you guys on here through photos of the year behind us.. in the spirit of the new year and all:)

  1. What a cute idea! A photo album or picture book is so thoughtful and something you can look back at for years.
